PAYMENTS & TRANSACTIONS

In your business, "what happened and why" is the entire product.

Payments, ISOs, billing platforms, and transaction services live and die on reconciliation, exception handling, and the ability to reconstruct exactly what happened to any transaction, in order, with proof. Deterministic causal event architecture is Beautiful Majestic Dolphin's core discipline; it is what our product line is built on. This page is the one where we are not adapting our expertise to your sector. This is the home game.

The way it works now

Settlement files from processors, banks, and partners arrive in mismatched formats and get reconciled in spreadsheets by people who dread month-end. Exceptions (partial captures, duplicate presentments, orphaned refunds, fee mismatches) get worked from queues without context. When a merchant, auditor, or regulator asks what happened to one transaction across five systems, the answer takes days and comes with caveats.

What custom looks like

  • Reconciliation engines: multi-source matching across processor, bank, and ledger data with every break classified, aged, and owned, closing in hours instead of days.

  • Causal transaction tracing: an event architecture where every state change in a transaction's life is recorded in order with its cause, so "what happened and why" is a query with a definitive answer.

  • Monitoring and anomaly surfacing: fee drift, settlement timing shifts, and volume pattern breaks flagged as they emerge, not at month-end.

Where agents fit

  • Exception queues worked systematically: evidence gathered, routine breaks resolved per your rules, and the genuinely weird escalated with a complete case file attached.

  • Chargeback and dispute-response assembly with the transaction's full causal history in the packet.

  • Partner and merchant reporting generated and delivered on the calendar the contracts promise.

Compliance

PCI DSS scope treated as an architecture decision (minimize it, then secure what remains), plus the audit-trail and retention standards your bank sponsors and auditors expect. Immutable, ordered, provable records are not a compliance burden in our designs. They are the design.
