CATERING
Every event is a small manufacturing run with a deadline.
Catering is project management wearing an apron: quote, contract, menu, headcount changes, staffing, rentals, production, load-out. We build caterers one system where the event is a single object, not a trail of emails, so the Saturday runs like the paperwork says.
The way it works now
Quotes are rebuilt per inquiry. The headcount changes twice after the contract and someone forgets to tell the kitchen. Production sheets, pull lists, and staffing plans get assembled Thursday night by hand from the event file. Deposits and final payments are chased manually, and the profitable events cannot be told from the break-even ones.
What custom looks like
Quoting from your priced menu and package library, with margins visible and revisions versioned, so change three does not orphan change two.
Event objects that cascade: a headcount change updates the production sheets, pull lists, staffing needs, and invoice in one motion.
Per-event P&L: food, labor, and rentals against the contract, so you learn which events to chase.
Where agents fit
Inquiry qualification and response at the speed couples and corporate planners expect, from your availability and minimums.
Payment schedule enforcement: deposits, milestones, and finals invoiced and chased on time, politely.
Timeline coordination with venues and planners, confirmed in writing, automatically.
