MOVING

The estimate decides whether move day is profit or apology.

Moving margins are made and lost at the estimate: cube the job wrong and everything downstream (crew size, truck, hours, the customer's trust) goes wrong with it. We build movers systems that quote accurately, schedule tightly, and document enough to make claims boring.

The way it works now

Estimates happen by phone guess or an in-home visit that costs a morning. The calendar is a whiteboard where a three-crew Saturday is one callout from collapse. Inventory and condition documentation is thin, which is why every claim becomes a negotiation. Deposits, COIs for buildings, and long-distance paperwork all get chased manually.

What custom looks like

  • Structured estimating: room-by-room inventory (customer self-survey or video walk-through) producing cube, crew, and hour math from your real production rates, with binding-quote discipline built in.

  • Crew and truck scheduling that sees the week's cube against the week's capacity, and reflows when life happens.

  • Move-day documentation: inventory tags, condition photos, and signatures captured as a matter of course, so claims are looked up, not argued.

Where agents fit

  • Quote follow-up in the shopping window, which for moving is measured in days, not weeks.

  • Building-COI and logistics coordination with property managers on both ends of the move.

  • Review and referral flows timed to the successful delivery, plus win-back for the seasonal repeat corporate accounts.
